The heart of this travel plaza, however, lies in its independent restaurant — a mom-and-pop gem where genuine warmth meets homestyle cooking. Excellent old school independent truck stop, with a restaurant. You don't see places like this too often anymore. Plenty of parking for rigs of all sizes. The restaurant was good. I enjoyed my biscuits and gravy. The gas pumps were easy to pull my truck with travel trailer in to, which is always a plus. If I'm back this way I will definitely stop by again.
Been a long time since I’ve been here, always great service with a smile and great food, plain n simple mom n pop atmosphere
Now this is what I call a classic American truck stop, straight out of the era of Red Sovine and C.W. McCall, when drivers wore boots and jeans, not flip-flops and track pants. Most places like this have fallen by the wayside, much like us old-school truckers, a dying breed with diesel in our veins. But here, the tradition lives on. Marv, the waitress, welcomes you like family with her home-style, friendly service, making you feel right at home. And Jason, the cook, can make a perfect ribeye, trust me, it’s not to be missed. Back in the day, they used to say, “If you want good food, go where the truckers go.” This place still proves that true. God bless them, and may they continue serving great food with heart and care for years to come.
Old school Mom and Pop truck stop. Small authentic restaurant. REAL service. HUGE dirt lot for truck parking. We had the deep fried Cauliflower, Mushrooms and Cheese sticks. Cooked to perfection! Meatloaf with a Giant helping of mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans! Better prices than the big truck stops. They actually prepare it when you order it so it can take a little time. I definitely DID NOT feel rushed to hurry up and get out like at the big places. I will definitely stop here again!! A little gem I just discovered!
I'd have to say truck stops are few and far between out here and this one has everything I need. Sometimes its hard to find a place that accepts my fleet one card for fuel, they do, the cashier behind the register was also very nice and they had very good food thanks to Jason it takes skill to make food that good. Last and certainly not least the waitress Marve was so nice and always 2 steps ahead meanwhile serving the entire place in a timely manner. If im ever back in this area I will be stopping back in for sure
3/27/25 - I have to admit, after reading a few of the reviews I was skeptical. I pulled in to the parking area and went inside to "see" for myself. It's a decent truck stop. It has a rather large parking area. The food was good. The special was meatloaf and 2 sides. I asked about the parking and the guy behind the counter indicated they no longer charge to park. I didn't notice a certain "smell". The only reason for not giving it a 5 star rating was the mens room, and the garbage in the parking area. All in all I would stop here again.
